Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use the card?
After purchasing and setting up your allergens and dietary restrictions, simply open your card from the dashboard and show it to restaurant staff. The card displays your food restrictions in clear, polite Japanese.
What is the Dashi Warning?
Dashi is a traditional Japanese stock made from fish, seaweed, or other ingredients. It is found in most Japanese dishes including soups, sauces, and simmered foods. Since dashi is often invisible in the finished dish, our card specifically warns restaurant staff about dashi-related allergens.
Which allergens are supported?
We cover all 28 items designated under Japan's food labeling law (8 mandatory + 20 recommended), plus 3 additional allergens common in EU regulations. You can search the full list in the section below.
What if my allergy is not on the list?
Our card covers all 28 allergens designated by Japanese food labeling law. If your specific allergy is not listed, please take additional safety precautions on your own, such as learning the Japanese name for that ingredient and verbally confirming with restaurant staff.
What if the restaurant cannot accommodate my restrictions?
If a restaurant indicates they cannot accommodate your needs, it is safest to find another restaurant. Many areas in Japan have allergy-friendly restaurants. We recommend searching for alternatives rather than taking risks with your health.
How long is my card valid?
Your card is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
Can I get a refund?
Due to the nature of digital services, refunds are not available after payment is completed. Please review all information carefully before purchasing.
Can I change my allergy information later?
Yes. You can update your allergens and dietary restrictions at any time from your dashboard.
Is my data safe?
Yes. We use encryption for data in transit (HTTPS), secure database access controls, and only collect the minimum information necessary. We do not use tracking cookies or share your data with advertisers. For details, please see our Privacy Policy.
Does the card guarantee my safety?
No. The card is a communication assistance tool to help convey your dietary needs to restaurant staff. It does not guarantee that restaurants will fully understand or accommodate all requirements. Always carry your emergency medication and take personal safety precautions.
